The analytics dashboard gives you an overview of your project's performance. It includes topline stats and allows you to drill into data over time.
In addition to STQRY Analytics, STQRY supports two additional tools to help you track your app usage. - For insights on app downloads and revenue, refer to the guides for Google Play Console and App Store Connect.
- To access more detailed app analytics, consider integrating Google Analytics. Instructions are provided below.
Metrics Definitions
When we refer to a "project," we mean both the web version and the native versions of your app. This includes iOS, Android, mobile web, and desktop.
Visits
A visit is recorded when a visitor accesses your project for the first time or returns to a screen after more than 30 minutes of inactivity.
Screen View
Reports the total number of times an event is recorded. For example, if a user navigates to the "Stop 1" screen, then to "Stop 2," and back to "Stop 1" it will count as two views for the "Stop 1" screen.
Average Time on Site
Average Time on Site, or "Engagement Time" tells you the average amount of time people spend on your project. This metric is calculated by dividing the total time by the total number of users. To calculate time, a user needs to spend at least one second on a screen.
Platforms
The platform the user was on. Can be iOS, Android, or Web. An unknown platform will be due to older versions of the app being used.
Languages
The language the user had set in the app. An unknown platform will be due to older versions of the app being used.
STQRY provides multiple ways to track your app's performance. The STQRY Analytics dashboard offers an overview of key stats, while Google Play Console and App Store Connect provide insights into app downloads and revenue. For more detailed analytics, you can integrate Google Analytics with your app.
Why Analytics Matter
Understanding your analytics is crucial for several key reasons:
Audience Insights
Understanding your analytics transforms raw data into actionable insights. These metrics offer a comprehensive view of how users interact with your app, revealing patterns, preferences, and potential areas of improvement.
By carefully analyzing visits, screen views, and engagement time, you gain a deeper understanding of your audience's behavior. You'll discover which content resonates most, how users navigate through your project, and identify potential friction points that might cause users to disengage.
Continuous Improvement
Data-driven decision-making becomes possible through these analytics. You can pinpoint underperforming sections, optimize user experience, and develop more engaging content strategies. The ability to track your project's growth over time provides valuable context for understanding your app's evolution and user engagement.
Performance Tracking
Performance tracking extends beyond simple numbers. By examining platform and language data, you can develop more targeted experiences, understand your user demographics, and make informed decisions about future app development. This approach allows you to allocate resources more effectively and create more personalized user experiences.
