What is a Tour?

A tour is a curated journey that guides users through a series of screens, each designed to create an engaging and seamless experience. These screens are carefully arranged and presented in specific layouts, making it easy for users to follow along.

To start a tour, simply click the Start Tour button. Each stop in the tour is organized in a set sequence, allowing users to navigate effortlessly with the Next and Previous buttons, or by swiping left and right on their screens. For a quick overview of the entire tour, users can access the Tour Drop-down Menu to see all available stops at a glance.

STQRY offers three modes for touring:

  • Self-guided tours. This is the most commonly used mode, offering accessibility to content beyond the tour area. Users can explore at their own pace, with location alerts providing timely information when on-site. It's the perfect choice for those seeking autonomy in their tour experience.
  • Guided tours. This tour mode is designed for tours with a guide. No map is provided, and content remains inaccessible until users physically reach the tour site, providing a more synchronized experience tailored for guided tours accompanied by a guide.
  • Remote TV Play is specifically tailored for STQRY Fleet. Content displays on big screens, like TVs on buses, working alongside a fullscreen map. As users reach stops, media, including videos and slideshows, seamlessly autoplay in fullscreen mode. It's worth noting that this mode is more focused on enhancing group engagement, making it an ideal choice for collective experiences, such as bus or cruise tours, rather than individual users.

Each mode is crafted to provide the best possible experience for different types of audiences and settings, ensuring everyone can enjoy the journey in their own way.

Both Tour and List features include a map and geofencing capabilities. Additionally, you can set up in-app purchases and coupons for both.

A List offers more versatility, as it allows you to add Lists, Tours, or Screens as items, while a Tour is limited to adding Screens only.

To ensure your content is live in the app, remember to link it appropriately. For more guidance, refer to articles about How to create the Tabs, How to link content, and How to update content.
