By default, the number of map markers added to a tour map is used as the stop count on the tour overview page. However, there may be cases where certain markers, such as help desks or rest stops, should not be counted as main stops in the tour. In such instances, you can take advantage of the "Override Stop Count" feature to customize the number of stops displayed.
Follow the steps below to set up custom stop count for your tour:
Step 1: Accessing the Tour Overview Section
- Navigate to the "Content" section of your app's dashboard.
- Click on "Collections & Tours" to view all available tours.
- Select the desired tour that you wish to edit the number of stops.
Step 2: Enabling the Override Stop Count
- On the tour overview page, scroll down until you find the option to "Enable Override Stop Count"
- Toggle this option to activate the feature.
Step 3: Customizing the Main Stops of the Tour
- Once Override Stop Count is enabled, you can now customize the main stops of the tour.
- Enter the new stop count in the designated field provided for the Override Stop Count feature.
- Click on the "Save" or "Save & Next" button to commit the change.
Step 4: Updating the Content
To view the change in the app, go to "App Settings" and hit "Check for updated content". Once finished, go back to the tour overview you edited to see the change.
With the "Override Stop Count" feature, you have the flexibility to customize the number of main stops displayed on the tour overview page, providing a more accurate representation of your tour's content. This allows you to create a more tailored and engaging experience for your app users, enhancing their exploration of your tour. Experiment with different configurations to find the optimal setting that suits your tour's unique needs. Happy customizing!
