How to Generate a STQRY API Key

Created by Natalie Nguyen, Modified on Fri, 22 May at 3:31 PM by Natalie Nguyen

API keys allow you to integrate with the STQRY platform programmatically. This guide walks you through generating an API key from your STQRY account.

What Can You Do With an API Key?

An API key unlocks powerful automation capabilities, including:

  • Generate coupon codes automatically — create and manage promotional codes at scale without manual entry.
  • Upload content in bulk — use AI tools like Claude (or similar) to bulk-upload stories, media, and collection items to your STQRY projects.
  • Build custom integrations — connect STQRY with your existing tools and workflows.

Steps

Step 1: Open Manage Account

Log in at https://beta-us.stqry.com as an Account Admin.

From the STQRY Dashboard, click Manage Account in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.

Step 2: Go to Developer Settings

On the Manage Account page, scroll down and click the Developer Settings card.

Step 3: Open API Keys

Under Developer Settings, click the API keys card to open the API key management page. You can create multiple API keys for different purposes — for example, one for your coupon integration and another for bulk content uploads.

Click the API docs link at the top of this page for step-by-step instructions on how to use your key with the STQRY API.

Step 4: Create Your API Key

Click the Create API key button in the top-right corner. Give your key a descriptive, unique name so you can easily search for and manage it later — for example, "Coupon Code Integration" or "Content Upload Script."

Save your API key immediately after it is generated. Once you close the dialog, the full key will not be visible on screen again. Copy it and store it somewhere secure — treat it like a password and do not share it publicly or commit it to source control.
If you did not save your key, no worries — simply delete the existing key and create a new one.
