Adding Videos to STQRY is a seamless process, we offer two options: uploading videos directly or embedding web videos.
Uploading a Video to Media Library
- Under Content select the Media tab
- Click Add Video
- Provide Information
- Name. Give a name to the video file for identification within the builder. This name will not appear in the app.
- Video File. Upload your video.
- Video files can be uploaded in any quality but please be aware that it will impact the overall file size of the tour download. Also, as most users will be on mobile phones having HD videos isn't too important for smaller screens.
- We support video in a lot of different formats. You can upload video in one of the following formats and we will convert this to a format suitable for the device it is being played on: 3gp, asf, avi, divx, flv, m4a, mkv, mov, mp4, mpeg, mpeg-ps, mpeg-ts, mxf, webm.
- Enable "Do Not Transcode" (optional): Keep the original sound quality by enabling this option. Be mindful of file size if choosing this.
- Thumbnail image (optional). Add a thumbnail image that appears behind the play/pause button.
- Transcription (optional). You can include a transcription of the video. Users can tap on the transcript icon to read the text.
- Click "Save" or "Save & Close" to confirm and apply the video addition.
Alternatively you can add the Video file in each Screen and it will automatically Save in your Media Library
Embedding a Web Video
In addition to uploading your custom videos, STQRY offers the flexibility to include videos from popular platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo.
- Under Content select the Media tab
- Click Add Web Video
3. Provide information
- Name: Provide a distinctive name for the video file, ensuring easy identification within the builder. Note that this name won't be visible in the app itself.
- Paste the URL of the desired YouTube or Vimeo video.
- Thumbnail image (optional): Add a thumbnail image that appears behind the play/pause button.
Once uploaded you can add the video to a screen or use the same file across multiple screens.
You can add new translations for the video in another language on this page too. To do that, simply click on the plus icon next to the primary language and follow add the required information. If you're reusing the same thumbnail image for the translated audio, there's no need to upload it again. For more detailed guidance on adding a new language on STQRY, please refer to our help article on the topic.
