Find and manage media in the media library

The media library holds every image, video, audio track and file in your account. Anything you add here can be reused across your screens, tours, kiosks and displays.

To open it, go to Content Library > Media in the STQRY Builder sidebar.

Add media

Click Upload media, choose a media type, then click Add. Upload media to the media library covers each type and the formats it accepts.

Search and filter

Type in the Search box to find media by name. To show only one kind of media, such as images or audio, pick it from the All menu beside the search box.

For more options, click the filter icon to open Advanced filters. You can filter by Media item type and by Tags, then click Apply filters. The bar above the results shows how many items match, and Clear all removes every filter.

Tag your media

Tags group related media so you can find it again, for example by exhibition, gallery or tour. To tag an item, open it and click the add tag icon beside Tags:. Type a name, then pick an existing tag or choose Add tag: to create a new one.

Tags are shared across every language of an item.

Switch between list and grid

The library opens as a list, showing each item's type, file size, dimensions, duration and tags. Click the grid icon beside the filters to see larger thumbnails, and the list icon to go back. Builder remembers your choice in this browser.

See where an item is used

Open an item and select the Linked items tab. It lists every screen, collection, playlist, display and other item that uses it. Click the open icon beside one to view it in a new tab.

Delete media

In list view, click the bin icon on the item's row. In grid view, open the ⋮ menu on the item and choose Delete. Confirm by clicking Delete again.

Deleting is permanent. You can't undo it.

You can't delete an item that's still in use. Builder tells you the item "is still in use, so it can't be deleted. Remove it from everything that uses it first." Check Linked items to see what uses it, remove it from each one, then try again.
