This article is for the new STQRY Builder (Beta). Using the current STQRY Builder? See Mapping instead.
Maps hold the map images and styles your kiosks and apps show visitors. Each map you add here can be used across your projects.
To open them, go to Content Library > Maps in the STQRY Builder sidebar. The Maps list is on the left, and the Editor panel on the right shows the map you've selected.

A custom map's ground floor, open in the Editor panel.
Map types
Every map is one of four types. The list shows each map's type under its name.
| Type | What it is |
|---|---|
| GPS map | Mapbox Terrain Map and Mapbox Satellite Map. Every account has them, and you can't change or delete them. |
| Mapbox map | A map style you've designed in Mapbox, added with its style URL. |
| Custom map | Your own image, such as an illustrated site plan or a floor plan. It can have a layer for each floor. |
| Georeferenced map | A GeoTIFF image that already knows where it sits in the world, so it lines up with real locations. |
Find a map
To narrow the list, click GPS, Custom or Georeferenced above it. GPS shows the two built-in maps and your Mapbox maps. All shows every map.
Add a map
Click Add map, pick a type, then click Next. Create a custom or georeferenced map and Add a Mapbox map walk through each one.

Delete a map
In the list, click the bin icon beside the map. Confirm by clicking Delete.
Deleting is permanent. You can't undo it.
You can't delete a map that a kiosk or app still uses. Remove it from everything that uses it first, then try again.
Next steps
- Create a custom or georeferenced map: upload your own map image and add floors.
- Add a Mapbox map: use a map style you've designed in Mapbox.
