Embedding web videos can enhance the multimedia experience in your STQRY app and help reduce the overall tour size.

You can add a video URL either in the Media section or directly on a Screen. When you upload media files to a screen, they are automatically stored in the Media library for future use.

Upload a Video URL to Media

  1. Navigate to your Content tab in the STQRY Builder.
  2. Select the Media section.
  3. Opt for Web Video as the media type.
  4. Paste the URL of the web video (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo).
  5. Optionally, upload a thumbnail image.
  6. Provide a title for the video.
  7. Click on Save or Save & Close to store the video in your Media library.

Embed a Web Video to a Screen

  1. Go to your Content in the STQRY Builder.
  2. Select the screen where you want to embed the web video.
  3. Click on Add New Section.
  4. Choose either Single Media Section or Media Gallery Section:
    • Single Media Section: Allows you to add one media item with a caption.
    • Media Gallery Section: Allows you to add multiple media items like images, videos, and audio files in one section.

        5. If you chose Single Media Section:

  • Click on "Library" if you wish to select an image from your Media library, or click on "Upload" to add a new file. When selecting "Upload," follow the steps outlined earlier to add the Web URL.
  • Add a caption if desired.
  • Choose the layout for displaying the media and caption.
  • Click Save or Save & Close.

        6. If you chose Media Gallery Section:

  • Click on "Library" if you wish to select an image from your Media library, or click on "Upload" to add a new file. When selecting "Upload," follow the steps outlined earlier to add the Web URL.
  • Add more media files if needed.
  • Click Save or Save & Close.

        7. Save and Finalize

  • After embedding the web video, ensure you click Save or Save & Close to save your changes.
  • The embedded web video will now be available in the Media Library for future use on any other screen.

Embedding web videos can help lower the overall tour size, as the videos are hosted externally and not stored directly in the app.

Once the web video is embedded and saved, it will be stored in the library, allowing you to reuse it in different sections of your app.

For an app to be multilingual, translations for media files are essential. After saving the primary language, you can add additional languages by following the steps outlined in our help article here.

To see the changes in the app immediately, follow the instructions here to push updates through the app settings.
