Overview
STQRY Kiosk allows you to run digital interactive and kiosks on touch screens. The STQRY Kiosk Player is based on standard HTML and Javascript web technologies and should work in most modern browsers. This article outlines several approaches to deploying the STQRY Kiosk player on different platforms.
Platform Support
The STQRY Kiosk Player has been tested on the following platforms:
- Windows 10 and 11
- iOS 12.0 or later
- Android 8.0 or later
- Raspberry Pi OS (any modern Linux OS should work)
- Tizen OS (On a Samsung Flip Pro)
Single App Mode
For each platform we will explain one way to enable single app mode. In essence single app mode is a way to lock down the STQRY Kiosk Player. There are many ways to achieve this and depending on your internal IT resources you may have organisation mandated methods. As STQRY Kiosk is based on standard web technologies things should Just Work™️.
Platform Specific Installation Instructions

Configuring Single App Mode

Using an MDM offers the most control and offers remote management, Apple Configurator is a good solution if you only have a couple of devices and Guided access is a quick an easy solution to get you started but not quite as robust.

Linux
Installing on linux is outside of the scope of this document however we have successfully installed STQRY Kiosk using the following instructions for a Chromium based installation -

Smart TVs/Tizen OS
STQRY Kiosk is compatible with smart TVs that feature capacitive touch and have a modern browser built in or can be attached to a computer. We have tested limited devices with the Tizen operating system and have found these work well. We suggest testing STQRY Kiosk on the device to check that it works correctly as we cannot guarantee it will work on all smart TV devices.
