This article is for the new STQRY Builder (Beta). Using the current STQRY Builder? See Mapping instead.

A Mapbox map uses a map style you've designed in Mapbox. Your kiosks and apps then show the map in your own colours and fonts.

Before you start

You need two things from your Mapbox account:

  • The style's Style URL, which starts with mapbox://styles/. In Mapbox Studio, open the style's Share menu to copy it.
  • A public Access token, which starts with pk.. Your tokens are on Mapbox's Access tokens page.

Add the map

  1. Go to Content Library > Maps in STQRY Builder and click Add map.
  2. Choose Mapbox map, then click Next.
  3. Enter a Map name, then paste the Style URL and Access token.
  4. Click Save & Close.

The Enter map details dialog for a Mapbox map, with a map name, a style URL and a blurred access token.

The map opens in the Editor panel. To check the style, click the search icon, find a place, and zoom in. In the Maps list, Mapbox maps are under GPS.

A Mapbox map of Ottawa in the Editor panel, with the GPS filter selected in the Maps list.

The search box moves the preview to any place, here Ottawa.

You can't change a Mapbox map's style URL or access token after saving. To use a different style, add a new map and delete the old one.
