Every display in STQRY Builder carries a status badge and a line saying when it last made contact. This article explains each one, so you can tell at a glance whether a screen needs attention.

The status badge reports what the screen last told us it was doing.
The badges
| Badge | Color | Means |
|---|---|---|
| Showing content | Green | Playing normally |
| No content | Yellow | Connected, but nothing is assigned, or what's assigned is empty |
| Awaiting project | Blue | Adopted, but not yet assigned to a project |
| Project disabled | Orange | The project it belongs to is disabled |
| No status | Gray | Connected, but hasn't reported what it's doing |
| Not connected | Gray | Has never checked in |
The line underneath
Below the badge you'll see a line like Online · last seen 3 minutes ago, Offline · last seen 2 days ago, or Never connected.
A display is marked Offline after two hours with no contact. This allows for idle screens that only check in once an hour.
Online means the screen has checked in within the last two hours — it doesn't necessarily mean the screen is on right now.
What "No content" is telling you
Either nothing is assigned, or the thing that is assigned is empty: an empty playlist, or a schedule with no time blocks in it.
The Content column tells you which. It either says No content linked, or links to the empty item.
This badge is not about the time of day. A schedule with blocks in it reports Showing content at 3am as well as at noon, even though the screen is showing "Display has no running playlists" at that hour. A green badge on a screen that looks blank outside opening hours is correct, not a fault.
See On-screen messages explained.
Common situations
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Green, but the screen looks wrong | Follow the Content column link and check what's actually assigned |
| Offline, but the screen is clearly playing | It's running from cache without a network. Fix the connection |
| Not connected, on a brand-new record | Normal. Connect a device to it. See Connect a display to your account |
| Not connected, but it used to work | The device was reset, or it's connected to a different record. Compare the activation key on the device with the one in Builder |
| Awaiting project | Edit the display and set its project |
Behavior notes
- When a display hasn't been in touch for two hours, its badge is forced gray regardless of what it last reported, so a screen that's been offline for days won't show a misleading green badge.
- A healthy playing display is never more than about five minutes stale. One last seen 45 minutes ago is either offline or has been idle for more than a day.
- Each check-in records the display's IP address, app version, and platform.
