Ready to bring your tours and collections to life with STQRY? This guide will walk you through the essential first steps to create your app. With just a few clicks, you'll be on your way to crafting engaging digital experiences for your visitors.

Starting Your Journey

To begin creating your app, log in to your STQRY account. The home screen presents two main sections that form the foundation of your project: Projects and Content. These work together to create a seamless experience for your users.

The Projects section houses the structural information about how your app will appear on the App Store and Google Play, including global navigation tabs and color branding. Meanwhile, the Content section is where you'll upload your media and build out the tours and collections that will engage your audience.

How to Build Your App's Framework

The Projects section consists of four essential parts that define your app's identity and navigation:

Overview

Here's where you'll establish your app's identity by setting your app name and configuring language options. You can designate a primary language and add additional languages to make your content accessible to a broader audience.

Tabs

These serve as the global navigation options that appear along the footer of your app. Think of tabs as the main doorways to your content—they link to collections of tours/lists or individual screens such as "Information" or "About Us" pages. The thoughtful organization of these tabs ensures users can easily navigate through your digital experience.

Branding

Make your app an extension of your brand by setting a cohesive color scheme. You can select specific RGB or Hex codes to match your organizational or website branding, creating a visually consistent experience that reinforces your identity.

Submit

This critical section contains all the information used to create your store listing displayed in the App Store and Google Play. Compelling descriptions and visuals here will help potential users discover and download your app

How to Create Engaging Content

Within the Content section, you'll find the tools to build rich, interactive experiences:

Collections and Tours

Tours link screens together in a sequential order, perfect for guided experiences with a specific narrative flow. Users progress through content in the order you determine, creating a cohesive storytelling experience.

Lists offer more flexibility when screens don't follow a sequential order. They allow you to group related lists and tours together, giving users the freedom to explore content based on their interests.

Screens

The Story Screen functions as your primary content creation tool, letting you add widgets to build tour stops, list pages, and informational sections.

Web Screens integrate external web pages or HTML directly into your app, maintaining a seamless user experience.

The Full Screen Image option creates immersive visual moments with interactive hotspots, allowing for both standard images and panoramic/360-degree experiences that give users a sense of place and presence.

Media

Your central library houses all images, audio files, and videos uploaded to the builder. Content can be uploaded directly to this section or added while building a screen—either way, it's saved here for easy access and reuse throughout your project

Now that you understand the basic structure of the STQRY builder, you're ready to start populating your app with compelling content.
