Adding A Pin Marker That Is Not Attached To A Screen

Adding a pin marker not attached to a screen improves map navigation by helping users locate additional points of interest. It increases accessibility by providing quick access to essential facilities or services. Pin markers enhance user engagement by offering valuable information at specific locations. This help article will guide you through the steps to add a pin marker that is not attached to a screen.

Step 1: Accessing the Map Section

1. Open your app builder and navigate to the top Content tab section.
2. Select the Tour or List where you want to add the pin marker.
3. Choose the Map tab section to access the map editor.

Step 2: Adding the Pin Marker

1. Within the map editor, locate the Marker Tool icon and click on it.  (See video below for extra assistance in locating the icon found in the bottom right corner)
2. Move the cursor to the desired location on the map where you want to place the pin marker.
3. Click on the map to fill out the information on the pop-up window to create a pin marker at that location.

Step 3: Customizing the Pin Marker

1. Fill in the Title field with the name of the place or location.
2. Provide additional information in the Description field, such as address, website, or any relevant details.
3. Optionally, you can customize the pin marker's appearance:

a. Choose a different icon for the pin marker.

b. Change the color of the pin marker on the map.

c. Add an image related to the place or location.

Step 4: Saving the Pin Marker

1. Once you have entered the necessary information and customized the pin marker, click "Save & Close" to save the changes.
2. The pin marker will now be visible on the map in your app, representing the additional point of interest or important location.

Step 5: Removing a Pin Marker

1. If you need to remove a pin marker, locate it on the map.
2. Click on the Edit symbol (pencil icon) associated with the pin marker.
3. On the "Edit Point Details" screen, click on the Delete point option.
4. Confirm the deletion by clicking "Save & Close."
