A STQRY Kiosk starts with an initial Screensaver, then opens to the initial STQRY Kiosk screen, and from there can connect/link with unlimited STQRY Kiosk & standard screen(s) and/or media files.

  1. Screensaver: The screensaver serves as the initial screen that appears when the kiosk is idle or in standby mode. It can display branding elements, enticing visuals, or promotional messages to attract attention and encourage users to interact with the kiosk.
  2. STQRY Kiosk Screens: These screens are specifically designed to be displayed in full-screen mode on the kiosk device. In the context of the STQRY Kiosk, these screens function as maps, allowing you to designate and locate hot spots on them. STQRY Kiosk screens can be linked to one another.
  3. STQRY Standard Screens: These standard screens are designed to appear as popup windows within a STQRY Kiosk screen, allowing you to present information, media, and interactive elements in a user-friendly and visually appealing manner.
  4. Media Files: Within a STQRY Kiosk screen, you can incorporate various media files to enrich the interactive experience. These media files can include images, videos, audio clips, or even animations.

Step 4: Create STQRY Kiosk Screens, Link Content and Build the App Structure

Within the newly created project, you will find options to set up STQRY Kiosk screens. Follow these steps:

  1. Upload an Image: From the available options, you can upload an image from the library or upload a new one from your device. Choose an image that suits the content and purpose of the screen.

  2. Menu Options: On the left-hand side of the screen, you will see a menu with the following options:

    a. Screen Settings: This section allows you to modify specific settings for the screen you are currently working on.

    • Initial Screen: By default, you are working on the initial screen. If you create additional STQRY Kiosk screens, you can change the initial screen to another one within your project.
    • Titles: Customize the screen title to differentiate it from other STQRY Kiosk screens, especially if you have multiple screens.
    • Background Image: Choose the scrolling setting from the drop-down menu, such as vertical, horizontal, zoom able, or none, to determine how the background image behaves.

    b. Hot spots: Use this option to locate and add hot spots to the STQRY Kiosk screen. These hot spots can be linked to various elements within your kiosk project, including Kiosk screens, STQRY standard screens, or media items.

For example, a hot spot on the STQRY Kiosk Screen may be linked to a Kiosk screen that provides detailed information about a particular exhibit or product. Another hot spot could lead users to a STQRY standard screen showcasing a promotional video, while another hot spot might open a media item displaying images related to a specific topic.

  3. Project Settings: This section allows you to modify settings at the project level.

    • Basic Settings: Change the project name and add the language(s) to the app. If you need to support multiple languages in your project, refer to the separate help article provided for instructions.
    • Screen Saver Settings: As mentioned earlier, these settings control the behavior and content displayed on the screen saver when the kiosk is idle or in standby mode.
    • Branding: Customize the colors used in the app to align with your branding and create a consistent visual identity.
    • Launch Preview: When you are ready to preview your work, click on this option to launch a preview of your STQRY Kiosk project and review its appearance and functionality.
